Hi @all,

I recently changed the headunit of my Mazda 3 (2012 Facelift with BOSE Sound System) to an Android one from China. Overall, the installation was just Plug & Play. Unfortunately I have a high frequency beep sound coming from the little speaker on drivers door. It always appears, if the speaker having some kind of output. If I turn the volume to 0 it also disappears. The running engine or its rotational frequency does not affect the annoying sound.

Some days ago I also visited a car service studio for sound systems and just got a rant of that **** from China and how they don't want to deal with it anymore.

Does anyone know what kind of source could cause that problem? Is it the mass? If so, why is only that particular speaker is affected and the others are working fine?

Thanks for help.

It sounds like some kind of electrical leakage maybe inside of the electronics.

What is the little speaker? Is that a door speaker for the radio? Or do you mean like a service speaker?

Thanks for the reply.

The little speaker is part of the BOSE Sound System. If I plug the old (original) head unit there is none of such sound. The sound that comes from the little speaker in both doors also isn't as clear as the big speaker.

Maybe post up a pic of the speaker. Does the little speaker play music with the other speakers?

Good luck with this, it sounds like it might be a problem with the electronics. I'm not that knowledgeable on what could cause that issue. Like you'd just have to test a bunch of stuff.

No problem. Thanks for help. :)

That's the speaker.

Unfortunately I couldn't catch the sound with my smartphone.

Oh ok, so that's a tweeter. Man, it sounds like you're getting speaker noise from your new electronics, or something isn't connected correctly. I can't really help you because I'd have to be there to even begin to try to figure that out. Like you'd have to find someone willing to dive into that problem for you, and it may not even be fixable. Don't buy crap from China!

Oh, learned something new. :)

Yeah, maybe it was not the best decision.

Who installed the new equipment?

It was me.

Here is a picture of a similar headunit from an US retailer.

I just had to connect 3 and 7 on the picture, so the amplifier could gain its power. Power connector and antenna were just Plug & Play.

Anyway, thanks for your effort. :)

Go back and check your wiring. Make sure you don't have wires touching wires, make sure the wires are big enough. It's possible that if you know what you're doing, you could wire it up a different way. Best of luck with that, new cars are obnoxiously over-complicated.

Yep there is a reason that place said what they said about the China head units. They are not good quality and tend to have a ton of issues from the get go. If it isn't wiring it is half the functions don't work or the sound quality is garbage. Idk what you paid for it or where you got it but if you can exchange it for a name brand like Pioneer or Kenwood for the same price or close to it I would consider doing that.

No, the wire are not touching each other, or, there aren't any open wires. I also tried to use 2 ferrite cores from PC power supplies and cover each wire with aluminium foil.

I payed about 130$ for the head unit. Head units from Pioneer or Kenwood cost about 250$ - 300$.
