Single cab chevy

Ok so I have a 2013 single cab Silverado. I currently have a single sundown sa10 classic in a ported box behind the passenger seat to fit the sub I had to add a 3/4 msg spacer. I love the way it sounds but don’t like the fact that the seat has to be up quite a bit I was looking at getting rid of the whole setup and getting a new ported box built with 2-10s. Possibly going with 2 sundown sld or 2 sundown ev6. Any advice and what would sound better the sld or the ev6 and how it would compare to my sa10?

Depends on how big of a box you can get back there and be comfortable. If you couldn't fit the single 10" comfortably two is going to need double the box size. Go with 8s.

I think my main problem is the fact I had to add the spacer due to the sa10 having a bigger mounting depth. From the research I did I should be able to comfortably get about 2 cubic feet so I think 10s would work. I had looked at some 8s also but most of them are deep as well I’m thinking I need something with about a 5.5 mounting depth.

Console boxes work sweet in those trucks rear firing port and sub ...I have a late 2011 Silverado standard cab ...10s work best but a 12 should work due to width between seats ...

4 or possibly 6-6½'s. I know that 4 will fit for sure. What is your goal? If you want more, then, you will have to go shallow mount (JL13tw5's) or blow through from the bed.

I’ve seen some really nice console enclosures but I can’t really afford to lose my center seat

How would 4-6.5” sounds compared to my sa10? Really I’m not looking for something huge to do a blow through. The sa10 sounds amazing but it’s just a little too deep. I figured if I ran 2 with a mounting depth of around 5” it could be louder. I’d have about 2cu ft or so

This went in a single cab Silverado, is powered by a sfb1500 and exceeded the customers expectations. The particular subs are "underpowered" Imo (Rds 6.5's) but are certainly exceeding the output of a single Sa-10.

The center console needed shifted forward an inch on the seat frame but it was a snap, almost zero loss of leg room or recline either.

The pic above was the test fit, once the console was shifted the thing fit like a glove and is begging for more power. It does well as is tho.

That’s a sweet setup, Is the center seat still able to go up and down? I’ll probably look into something like that with maybe 4-a a6.5” or maybe 2 or 3 e series 8s. I have 900 watts to feed them.

I would have to ask the customer or installer but I think I would have heard something if any function was lost. Shifting the console an inch gave nice clearance is all I heard.
I like the E series but I love these 6.5 that are available thru a local supplier. The brand is newish but solid imo. Overbuilt and underrated. I talk smack to him constantly about his 8's. 8" subs seem to find a way into underseat enclosures and these things can be a challenge to fit... lol

The 6.5" subs are like 5.5" depth iirc and very beefy too.

Rds audio” Don’t dis the six” ? Those are some beefy 6.5”’s
What’s the price on those?

I wont quote pricing as I've seen him put em on sale for pretty cheap at times.

Those little (hehe) 6.5's are surprising, The output/extension you get out of an enclosure this size blows most folks away.

I can't do quotes... sorry.
I just used to do designs.

These are also very good options for your truck. The mounting depths are perfect for your application. I would suggest four VFL- 6-½'s on a Sundown SFB2K. IIRC the mounting depth is 5".

Well the setup I mentioned cost around 1,000 USD in my country and an extra 500 USD for the DPS. HU? The car display? I plan to stay with original

2x 4 ohm coils can be wired parallel to 2 ohms or series to 8 ohms. There's many amps with 2 ohm power you can use.
