Sorry if that offends you, but from my point of view that's what it is. I don't deny that things that the brain does are incredibly spiritual feeling or misleading. When I was little I thought a ghost interacted with me. I just applied some skepticism later in life and accepted that I fooled myself. That's my point of view, you don't have to share it.

We are just genetically enhanced monkeys probably. If you look at how all life on earth evolved, humans took a completely different path. Something had to intervene to cause that. I’m not sure about aliens manipulating DNA, but it sure does make sense considering what we are able to do ourselves.

It's seeming less and less like that's the case as we find that exceptions we carved out for ourselves are actually portrayed in other animals too. Like we used to say that humans were the only ones with empathy, revenge, and love, but we've observed similar things in other animals at this point.

I’m talking about physical traits though. Brains are similar. Evolution itself requires these things for survival, or animals wouldnt even survive. Love, empathy and revenge are a requirement to protect our babies. To think animals don’t have that is just anti-science to me.

Optical illusions, logical fallacies, audible illusions.. Our brains are easily tricked because they're desperate for patterns and meaning. That can also be used against your argument. The electrical signals are caused chemically. Stop the chemicals, the electricity stops also. There is a physical and measurable reason the electricity exists.

Yeah, I suppose you're talking about how like 20% of energy usage from humans is their brain. If you think about that in terms of evolution and natural selection it starts to make sense though. The method of survival isn't important, it's the fact of survival. If the smarter animals live more often and the dumber ones die more often then you get a natural progression towards a reliance on brain power, even though some of our ancestors were way bigger and stronger than us.
