I dunno about that. Republicans have only won the popular vote in 1 out of the last 8 elections... when it comes to gaming the electoral college you're really of the mindset that Dems have it down? You were in the belly of the beast, but you were never in the closed door meetings about drawing the districts or while discussing the strategy of voter ID laws.

I’m not saying republicans don’t do it also, I just don’t have any first hand knowledge of what they do. I never would’ve worked on their behalf to find out. The electoral college exists for a reason though. Without it, politicians would campaign in 5 or 6 big cities, and the rest of the country wouldn’t matter at all. As far as districting, that goes by the census we do every 10 years, and that was discussed a lot. The simple changing of the lines can swing a whole state one way or another. My whole point in bringing any of this up in the first place is this idea that dems are somehow morally better than republicans, and “care” about people more, which I used to think. They don’t. This is why I’m a libertarian voter now. Both of these parties are morally bankrupt, and it’s about money and power. Always has been since I’ve been alive. Most people would normally agree with this, which is why congress has less than a 20% approval rate. I don’t see why anyone votes for either party any more honestly. I’m actually more pissed about the dems selling out ideas I hold dear, like being anti war but never getting out of wars. The dems actually were mad at trump for pulling troop numbers back overseas. It’s not about ideals or values any more.

We need term limits on Congress. Some of these idiots on both sides of the aisle have been known to be there for 20, 30, 40, 50 and a couple were there upwards of 60 years, that is absolutely ridiculous, we need some younger people in there. You get a total of 12 years as well. Say you serve 8 years in the House, You then get 4 years in the Senate and vice versa. Also no more of this lifetime pension crap. Someone can be elected & it doesn't matter if they are GOP, Democrat or Independent. Once they are in there and take the oath they get all these lifetime benefits the rest of us don't. Especially with their medical insurance.

That is something everyone with some common sense can agree on.

Don't get me wrong, I think the democratic leadership is morally bankrupt too.. Check out Biden's cabinet picks.. scum, almost every last one of them. He's got two war hawks in his cabinet, how the **** is that coming from the less war-inclined party? I'm partial to progressives who actually stand up for what they espouse. Unfortunately Obama gave the biggest lie he's ever given in his life when he said old people need to "get out of the way" and let young people decide. Motherfucker lifted heaven and earth to get the entire party to unite against Bernie, which young people wanted. What a ******* lie that was.

I always felt it was super ironic that these congressmen are making decisions about how we're not worth the cost of universal healthcare while they get the best healthcare on the planet for half the cost of our shitty work-provided plans.

Obama killed More people via drone than Bush did. He totally lost me after his first 4 years.
