My Taramps DS800X4 cuts out as soon as I pass 25 on the volume dial while I'm driving. The HU is a Kenwood DDX771 (4v pre-outs). I'm running the amp through a Taramps CRX4 4-way electronic crossover. The crossover specs say 8v max input and 8v max output. Is this simply a problem where I'm throwing too many volts to the amp at high volume? If so, should I turn the level down at the crossover and turn the gain up at the amp? The amp is running two AB 6-½" midbass and two Pioneer Pro 3-½" bullet tweeters. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, it's what I thought it was, but I wanted to make sure it was actually that. I'll get to fixing it when I have the time soon. Thank you guys

I would try a pair of Bass Blockers on the rear speakers. I always place them on Coax. speakers generally, Should help quite a bit I like PAC ones...
