When I was younger I was obsessed with the small block. I owned a book called "Building Chevy Horsepower" and it was just for the small block engine. I used to go to this place all the time called Automotive Engineering in Clearwater Florida. It was a store that just sold aftermarket performance parts. On the weekends we would go down to the Gandy Bridge and people would drag race there. We spent many a night at the Sunshine Speedway. Man, I miss those days.Surprised you know that.
Well that's definitely not going into a small block, but I can damn near rebuild one with my eyes closed. I've been addicted to BBCs ever since I was a little kid and heard my dad's completely built 65 Impala with a monster cammed 396. He ran that fucker around town with open headers too. It was sooo loud. Crunk Times! When I was younger I was obsessed with the small block. I owned a book called "Building Chevy Horsepower" and it was just for the small block engine. One of the reasons I miss my 280zx's is because I wanted to do a small block swap into one. It would have basically been a small car wrapped around a cool engine. I had so many parts picked out for it from the Holley carb to the Eldelbrock heads to the Harland Sharp roller rockers to the Eagle crank to the ARP studs and bolts to the Pete Jackson timing gears (quiet) to the H beam rods... I had special Mallory spark plug wires picked out for it.
