Speaker placement help

Hello all. This is a question more about speaker placement for a sound quality system. This will be going in a 1966 mustang and here's the parts I have so far. I have a few infinity kappa 12's sitting around plus infinity k1000 (1000rms amp) and a k600 (600rms) amps just sitting here. Plus I want to get the 80prs for the build . I have b2 audio ref 6.3 3 way 6.5 speakers.

So, with the 6.5's you'll have 3 speakers each side to place up front. Hoping to get them in the doors. Not sure if they'll fit but if not I guess a kick panel custom made.

My biggest issue I'm having is I hear people saying not to put anything in the back. That the kids and highs should be staged up front. So, should I only have the 6.5's up front and the woofer in the trunk? I might only put one woofer (ported) in the trunk. Not going for all, just sound quality, but I do want it a little loud, but not to take up too much space. I may even just buy a 10 and use that (ported). Anyways. Was hoping you all can just let me know where what size speakers should go. Do I need any highs or mids in the back under the rear window? Thank you guys.

Depends on your goal. If you're no going active with that set; it doesn't really matter if you have speakers in the back.
Going for sound quality. There will be people in the back seat a lot of the time. Active/passive I will go with whatever is best. I don't really have a budget but I don't want to get insane with the price. So, let's say you have the b2 6.5's up front and a 10 in the trunk what else would you do? Sound quality is goal thank you.

I would start by sound proofing the car. I recommend hushmat. Then I would get a 99rs instead of the 80prs and go full active. No rear speakers.. at this point the front stage should be loud enough for all passengers.

The dex-p99rs? I was hoping to get satellite radio and use a ipod sometimes. Is that possible with this deck?

So,
B2 audio ref 6.3 up front, a 10 in ported box in back and the dex-p99rs deck would be sufficient? Planned on going with RF prime amps with with more than enough power.

Yes but require some add-on modules.

Yep.. all set for a bad ass active front stage. The unit has 8 ch outputs so perfect for your 3-way and sub(s).
Oh, and hushmat the trunk and doors.
Yes and eventually the floor and roof as well. I recommend hushmat because it's completely odorless.

i'd go with results over the smell which goes away in a couple days. Ive had people rip out their hushmats because their panels were still flexing. They had to use thicker and stronger deadener for actual results.

Yes. Only thing is the leads will be encased in resin. Keep in mind that this is an assumption.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.

Speaker ratings are generally a thermal/mechanical limitation of the drivers. Music is dynamic, not continuous. During quiet periods a song, you...
