Wiring subs

So I have 2 -10" dvc kicker subs. Each sub is max peak 800 watts. Rms 400..

I have a kicker amp. Dx monoblock.. 250.1
Now this amp has 4ohms 125w x1 channel or 2 ohms 250w x 2 channels.

I'm "think" I should wire my subs in series... Is this correct or should it be wired parallel? Thanks

Wire to one ohm if your amp can handle it. Otherwise, wire to 4 ohm. You should probably get a one ohm stable amp.

No it's parallel. Your subs are D4s. That diagram will work but your amp will not give you full potential of your subs. Your options are (imo):

1. Go with it
2. Trade the subs for D2s
3. Get a bigger amp
4. Get a second kicker amp and use one per sub

"Best Buy" amps really don't like 1 ohm loads.

So, in ur opinion, u think I should wire subs parallel and that would work and not harm anything? And yes, soon I will get another amp for each sub. I just don't wanna harm anything. So wiring parallel gives my subs the max they can do. OK thanks.. Man, never thought it was so complicated hahaha.. Tyvm

No!!! The diagram is series. Parallel will give you a 1 ohm load. Sorry for the confusion!

Sell your amp and buy a Taramps MD1800.1 one ohm version. Adjust the gain correctly and you will be set.
