Tap amplified high level signal

Hello
I have a small under seat sub getting its high level signal from speaker wires coming from the factory head unit.
I have now also installed a small amplifier again high level input.
Now my sub which is tapped into the speaker signal before the amplifier does not sound loud enough, would there be any benefit tapping the amplified high level signal after the amplifier?
Sub: Kenwood KSC-SW11
Amp: Pioneer GM-D1004
Cheers

I'm not too sure if it will make a difference if you're tapped into the same wire at a different location?

Are you tapping both left and right for your signal? Or just one side? I had the same problem with my girlfriends car. I tapped both the left and right speakers for my signal, but it wasn't loud enough. Then, I hooked up both left and right from the amps high level input into just one speaker, and it fixed the problem.

I was wondering if it would make any difference tapping the amplified signal coming from the small pioneer amp instead of the un-amplified signal going to the amp - you think that wont make any difference?

Yes at present the rear right and left speakers are tapped, using four posi-taps in total. So you think moving the right + and - to the left + and - so there are 2 taps on left - and 2 on left + would potentially create a louder result for the sub like in your case - any ideas why this would be? Thanks!

Typically on a monoblock the presence of multiple + and - is for the convenience of wiring multiple subs without having to jam to speaker wire ends into a single terminal. I don’t think that change will net a better result. However there may not be a full or strong signal pre factory amp. I’d recommend trying to connect as you have your 4 channel currently.

Another option is to buy a Line out converter (LOC) and run RCAs to your amps. DS18 has a decent 4 channel with clip indicators. If you plan to expand the system, I would go with a LOC from Wavtech. I'm running the Link8 and it gives you a ton of options for your setup. Also you can control the signal output gain to your amps.

Typically the usable signal is post factory amp and loc’s Like that ds18 unit don’t play nice with factory amps and can even be another source for noise. They can provide good solution for factory radios where the factory amplification is built into the stock radio (older cars). That ds18 lacks a de-equalization feature so it may not be a ton different than speaker level inputs on an good amp that accepts a low voltage floor and high voltage ceiling. A dsp would probably be a better solution if you’re jonesing to add equipment but may want to try an quality four channel amp first. There’s budget and more expensive oem integration dsp units

I wasn't recommending the LOC for input or controlling the built in amp in the OEM HU. Without a doubt, your suggestion is the best option overall, just more to set up.

So u know the individual slots on the ISO connectors and where they go? 12 volt red is accessories. etc. Red wire goes to the amplifier...

The amplifier will only amplify the waveform that you put into it. I think you have missed or are misinterpreting something here.

Thanks! It's what made sense to me. Just wanted to make sure.
