Subwoofer will work for 5 minutes then stops

As you can tell from the title my sub will just stop, its a jbl club 1224. I’ve checked all the wires, switched rca cables, tried different inputs, none of it works. My amp is still cool to the touch when it turns off, anyone got any ideas?
Headunit is a Sony WX920Bt
Amp Is pioneer GM-D9605

Gain might be too high turned up or sub wired to amp too low of an ohm load.

The gain is set at normal but I’ll mess with it, and the sub is at 2 ohms which the Amp is rated for, I’ll try both though

Nope, the light is still blue not red. All the other speakers work, the sub just stops

Sounds like a faulty amp.

I think I’ll try ordering a new amp and see if that fixes it and if not return it and try something else

Would it be unsafe to get a mono amp just for the sub and keep the “faulty” “5” channel running the door speakers?

No that would be fine. So the other 4 channels don't shut off? I was under the impression the whole amp was shutting down. Not just the subwoofer channel.

Yeah the others are fine, the sub just doesn’t output, but still moves when I move the bass boost knob around
