I am looking into doing **** again... I am sure I can make at least $12 and some change shakin my thang.
I spoke with SEVEN different doctors offices and all but one wasn't even close to helpful. Though the one that helped the most was not optimistic on me getting any kind of assistance or help financially with this surgery. A round number of up to $30,000 is what this surgery could cost. One hospital said I would need $5,000 up front for initial test to determine if a surgery is needed. I have already seen an ENT M.D. who stopped working on me because I do need the surgery. Another doctors office said I would need ALL the money up front... lol because you know, if they kill me on the table, they still need to be paid for the whole shabangabang. All 7 doctors offices were more than chipper until I said I have no insurance... then all the brick walls went up. Proof that doctors are in it just for the money? Maybe.
Insurance cost too much for me... My job wont offer insurance until after a year of employment... I can't win the damn lotto for some damn reason. I am down to, after 30 years of working and destroying my body, looking into disability. To this point, pride has kept me from it... from the broken neck in 1998 while on the job, to the broken knee, shoulder and hand in 2001 from a motorcycle wreck (not my fault) to the re-injury, some what recently, of my knee on the job to which I now have severe Chondromalacia of the knee (requires a knee replacement) to this Cholesteatoma in my ear which could kill me.
An S.S. Attorney told me to file for Social Security Disability, get the denial, file an appeal on that denial then get a date stamp on that denial and bring it to the attorney to which they said they can most likely get me on disability. Once on disability I should be able to get Medicare... Part B should cover the surgery..... if I can go this route.
