just some questions i need answered,

first is i want to install one 10 into the factory stereo, its navigation so my wife wont let me change it out,she likes it,what is the best way to do this and the best options i have.

i just want to install one amp on the 10 and keep the factory speakers hooked up to the factory stereo.

LOC FTW. if you want to install into the stock wiring you will need to use a line output converter (sp?). You will want to mount it somewhere in the rear, and you will have to splice into the stock wiring on the rear speakers, and connect it to the LOC. If you have a component set you will want to splice it into the midbass wires. the line output converter is pretty much just a high level speaker wire IN, and RCA Outputs for the amplifier. You can find a switch, for the remote wire in the fuse box, just put a multimeter on a fuse, and if it switches to 12 volts when the car is turned on, your good to go.

hey man, i added a sub to my 2006 Grand cherokee. Here is the easiest way to do it without cutting or voiding ANY warranty. Peripheral Electronics sells a CHY-AA which plugs into the back of your navigation radio, no cutting of the wires. It gives you 4 RCA outputs and a turn on lead for your amplifier. Then go get the JL Stealth box for the WK Grand. It has a 10W1v2 that can take around 200watts RMS, plenty enough to fill the cabin with bass. Then find whatever amp you want to use and wire the power and ground to the car, and the rca and turn on from the peripheral CHY-AA. Bingo..your done...warranty intact. A tip though, for an even stealthier look, get the blaupunkt slim series 2 channel amp and mount it under the rear cargo flip tray, that way the runk is still useable with the tray flat or flipped, and the stealthbox is tucked neatly to the passenger rear trunk area. Good luck. email me if you want pics of mine.
