The top box builder in my area has done over 50 boxes for the VFL 8 and he loves them (majority of which where compact truck designs). Heard four of them in a truck that was only putting out 900RMS and I couldn't believe how loud it was. Here's some pictures of some VFL 8s he's done
How do the vfl 8s compare to the xd 8s
Ok thanks . Just wondering because the magnet is only 10 oz bigger on vfl vs xd 8 and peice is about 40 dollars different per . I like the look of vfls thoughIve had 2 different pairs of Massive Audio Hippo 8's and Atomic Apocalypse 8's. Along with installing a few different Cadence 8's. All performed well. I have a love for the Massives which are nearly identical to the VFL 8's. I ran them in 1.5 cu box vented and on a Zapco Z2kd (2000w) and they rocked! So, I would say the VFL or Hippo's.Here are some pics of the Hippos.
