x2 18's Best?

I'm wanting to put x2 18's right where my 3rd row seats are. I'm removing the 3rd row and going to put x2 18's.

Need help on deciding on who I should get them from. I'm not wanting to do any competitions. But I want enough kick in them. I think 90-100 db would be good enough, I think. Don't need something to kill my ears to much when I'm going on long drives. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif haha

Also anyone know of custom box's I could get for this? I'm thinking of mounting the amp on the back of the box, and the amps will be close to pressing against back 2nd row seats, so the subs face the back of door.

I'm looking not to spend alot of money and I heard its like compariably 1$ = 1 watt for amp. I love music and I love having loud music. I'm looking for crisp boom, not muffle sounding or crap. Anyways, if anyone could tell me where I could get x2 18" subs that are good but cheap that would be great. Maybe also a box's I could get that would fit snug in the back?

regards,

Timinsk

For what you're looking for, I'd get a pair of Mach 5 Audio MJ18s. From what you have described, you want some 18s, but you want something that sounds good and blends well. A pair of Mach 5 MJ18s in 3.5 sealed apiece, would sound excellent, and wouldn't be overwhelmingly loud... but could definitely get up and play when you would like them to. I had one (just got jacked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif) and I loved it.

They're hard to beat for the money.... like $119 shipped apiece. Very efficient, too. They only need 600w to get going.

your probably wanting more in the range of 140:D
isnt that a bit much if im driving alot?.. haha

some people enjoy daily 150's... thats a bit much for me

For a great install with out tons of hassle and plenty of output you could use Maw 18"

http://mach5audio.com/index-2.html

Hang out here for a while and read about 18"s. 2500rms on two and you will have all the output over 120 Db's you could dream of.

"SeanDub has a nice set of RE HC 18"s" x2 check these out.

Could you please post what you want to spend on 1. subs / 2. amp/ 3.electrical. and the maximum amount of room you have to work with, in inches..

and Electrical is gonna be at least $100, anything over 1500-2k watts and your gonna want extra bateries possibly a Ho alt , just to keep electrical system happy.

keep asking questions, there is no clear winner in the 18" category there is however a sub to fit almost every type of listening preference.

I'd say grab a pair of em, here:

A kicker ZX1000.1 would power them nicely, found here:

For a box, post up a Want to Buy thread here on the forums. There are many capable box builders who are regulars here on the forum //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Those subs and that amp would be a loud, but very, very clean system. Got mids and highs to match? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

There is a volume knob as well so you can listen to the bass at any range in which you would like, but like posted above, a budget would help greatly.

In a span of 20 minutes the OP decides he wants his system 20db louder. Another freakin basshead in the making. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
