zz1000.1 and (2) type-r's in a Corvette?

I had a Kicker ZR240 bridged at 2 ohms with (2) 12 inch kicker comp subs in a sealed 2^3 ft. box (after displacement) in my '94 Vette. They hit pretty hard (louder than I needed) but the SQ wasn't there and the bass wasn't as tight as I'd like. So my question is do you think a kicker zx1000.1 would have enough power for (2) 12 inch Type-R's at a 2 ohm load in the same sealed box considering what my previous setup did and provide tighter bass with better SQ?
