This is sort of a long story.....Help me if you can...

It all started when I noticed about 1.7k (3k pending) of random charges on my card....

I called the bank immediately and they had already canceled my card due to suspicion of fraudulent charges.

Then I do my own investigating.

One of the fraudulent charges was for 1800flowers.

It just so happens that I have a 1800flowers account.

SO, I logged in to my 1800flowers account, and sure enough, there is an order made to someone in Modesto, CA, and guess where Zapco was located at that time? Modesto, CA! (I had an amp fixed by them)

The funny part is, is that the last time I ever used my CC info over the phone was to ZAPCO in MODESTO, CA!

I find it an EXTREME coincidence that of all the cities in the world, that MODESTO, CA would be common place to the last time my CC info was used verbally, and the delivery place of the flowers.....

So, what do you guys honestly think? This story is 100% honest. I want to find out who did this. I really cant think of any other way 1 person would get my shipping address, CC #. Like I said Zapco, was the last time I paid for something verbally.

SO, what should I do...

I called them up today asking about how they handle customers CC info. I spoke with Robert who quickly transferred me to their "Billing" person. I explained my problem, and then they quickly explained how they would never do such a thing. And then they hung up on me...

I don't see much you can do about this except move on. If it happens again you'll just have to cancel again I guess. It sucks though that they tried to rip you off and nobody's going to help you. That's just the world we live in today.

Bullshit!

That's the exact mindset our current sociological structure wants you thinking in. You're a fvckin b!tch!

they literally hung up on you? chances are the billing guy is trying to hide something.

Try to talk to someone higher in position, tell em the billing guy hung up on you as soon as you mentioned it.

They just hung up after telling you they would never do that? Sounds like they just blew there own horn.
I would possibly pursue legal action, seriously.
I know, I asked the girl on the phone repeatedly if she knew everyone she worked with well enough to know that they would not do such a thing, her reply was, "We are such a small company, it would be stupid for somebody to do that"

In the back of my mind Im thinking: "Modesto, CA and Modesto CA" hmmmm

Lol this is the world we live in. You can't stop people from scamming and if you think you can than you're an idiot.
I'm not saying you're wrong in your analysis, but to say, "That's the world we live in," implies to just get used to it. Lay down; give in and don't worry about covering your ***; subservient.
