ZAPCO ST-4X SQ 4-CHANNEL or NVX JAD 800.4

I guess that's why all the pros don't do it. Oh never mind. They do
The pros are not taking 1000 watt Boss amps over lower watt Zapco or Audison amps even though it would give them more "headroom".

I agree with you that headroom can help and is important, but it's not the main thing to go with.

You think higher headroom automatically = better sound. That's far from true. A ****** built amp will sound ****** regardless of how much power it puts out and what speaker you put it on.

Basically, I'd take a 75 watt 4 channel Zapco and put it on a pair of Focal and it will always sound better that a 300 watt 4 channel Boss amp on the same speakers.

If you don't understand that, then all I have to say is "how's the install coming, John Kuthe?"

Well bud a 300 watt boss amp isn't a 300 watt amp. Take that 75 watts and bring it down to the boss power level and you won't know which is which. Headroom is dynamics, control. Everything that is good.
