How many of you have ever heard these? Right now, it's between:

Zapco Competition

DLS UP6S

Rainbow Germaniums

This is in price order (Zapco cheapest). Anyone heard all 3 to compare? I listen to 99% rap (you can bash me if you want, my preference) but I like strong vocals and easygoing, but distinct tweets (not harsh). Any expertise advise? Thank you

id say get 200W or so, and get cdt 07 set, there a set over on elitecaraudio for $320

the 07 mid has real nice midbass, and upper midrange, and can handle the low notes very well

dont really care for the cdt silks, but they are okay

i'd say it would depend on the sets you've had before. i've had kicker ss, diamond hex, cdt 07, and edi6500's, and i'm confident the germaniums are on another level than those. the profi's i'm sure are excellent but if you don't have an ear for tuning you would probably never know the difference.

I used to run the Zapco Competition and I must say they are okay sounding....nothing to brag about... I would go with the Rainbows anyday of the week. The Zaps are very directional but they do sound good but not as good as Focal..IMO.
