They are one of the best amps bar none......Better than any of JL's overpriced junk

Yes Zapco amps are very nice. and Excelerater I wouldnt necessarily call JL's amps Junk.

I hate it when a JL product becomes a standard of reference

Im not a JL nuthugger....but I definatly know that their amps aren't junk. They may be on the expensive side...but last time I checked Zapco wasn't exactly cheap.

I switched from ARC CXL's & XXK's to the old school Z200C2-SL's (1996)

Man the sound is unreal 2 of the best amps I will ever own..

I would run Zapco Amps Anyday of the week..

And would always take them over JL..

JL amps are ok.. but like listed price way high.. plus every kid in the high school lot will have them..

a 500/1 is more expensive than a ref 500.1.

the c2ks are awesome amps. the references are good amps that are amazingly reliable, and the reference dc's are outstanding. zapcos new dsp is absolutly awesome.

im glad to see u r impressed with the zapco. i love my zapco 360.4 it adds even more clarity with my clarion HU. Never tried the old zapco's though

Yea i heard that zapcos are great amps, they deliver clean power from what i have heard. I thought about trying out the CK model but that will be maybe in the future

you should hear the ref dc's. i just got into my boat the other day that has a zapco ref 1000.4 on the highs with the zapco sp4 EQ, and i was just like what a difference.

i've seen some birthsheets. and all the ones i've seen are roughly 10% underrated.

The 9.0 (for example) is rated at 2200 x 1 (2ohm or 4ohm/ 2 versions) but can do 3000 watts easily (daily) and is able to do short burst up to 5500 watts.

I've heard of people running the 2ohm version at 1.5ohms daily w/o any problems, but I wouldn't run the 4ohm version any lower.

If you get a 9.0...it will be your last amp.
