Just curious... How much are you putting into this car? Why not save that money and put it into something that is already fast and a lil newer? Just my two cents... Not a fan of spending 10K on mods on an older car. I'd rather have a newer car that is fairly fast then possible upgrade it later.

I'm affraid all i have right now are pix of the stock car, right now the car is totally dissassembled, and im building the framework up over the winter, then in the spring im going to work on the ******, its now going to be 4-wheel drive, with a 5-speed, 65%at rear,45%at front, the engine is the only part im not totally sure on yet , i was thinking a 2.8 V6, but finding a ****** for 4-wheel, that will connect to a 2.8 is my problem.i will post some stock pix, tommorrow, then the new pix when i get a bit closer.

You forgot about something, with 300 hp and a car that ways next to nothing in the car world, you wont ever be able to drag race, you'll only be able to smoke the tires and who knows if stuffing a V6 in there if it'll be strong enough because going from a 1litre to like a 4.5 litre is a lot. and ecspeacially a GEO but if it becomes a reality more power to ya.

if he uses slicks...it might be possible

it's 300hp, not 1000. there should be nearly no traction loss. and if there is, slicks is the definate answer, but chances are you won't need any.

you will definatly need a wider tire, and there will be a loss of traction.. wider tires will help but dont get a really low profile that doesnt help much at all the biger the tire the more rubber that is in contact with the groud, the better your traction will be

does anybody even make a 4.5L?

I know the mustang V8 is a 4.6L

and cadilac has a 4.6L in a couple of the new ones

but chevys v8's are 5.3L and 5.7L
