I've seen only two in SPL comps here, so I'll say DD9917+DD9515 and RFR-3115.

wait, I've seen audipbahns before, but they didn't seem loud at all... the single DD9515 reached 170.1dB and the audiobahns sounded like a squeak after that...

consumers are fond with the fact that when there's an X in any model, it gives the impression that it's something better than others...

look at superbikes.. all the X,Y and Z put to good use.. ask a mftr what they mean, they will shrug.

Oh, the treo's was it CSX or SSX? anyway, one's supposed to be for SPL, the other for SQ, and both of them also contain X....

Oh, yeah, I do believe I've heard the Tero's..there's lots of them over here. But still nothing like that single DD9515 hitting 170.1... not even the triple DD9917's hitting 170.4 or something.

You can't really limit youself to 3 because there are quite a few out there and a new one gets added to the mix every year. My votes go to:

1. Treo CSX

2. Shocker Sig

3. DD 9515

But I would also include the following:

MTX RFL

GZ Plutonim

CV Stroker

Kove Armeggedon

MMATS Juggernaut

Memphis SHP & LVS

looks like onyx may have a new contender with its 'monster' subwoofer. yes thats the name. 80 pounds of devistation, from what I hear. we will have to wait and see for its release along with the apacolypse.

whats up with all the ppl liking orion hcca subs for spl ? I heard their not all that great and does anyone know if the h2 is supposed to be louder and better sq than the hccas?
