I am AMAZED that the battery made it packed like that! I ordered a DEKA Intimidator on e-bay and that seller packed it in form fitted 3" thick "expanding foam in a bag" all around. You can use DHL, UPS, USPS, FedEx, and other shipping companies and it wouldn't make a difference. Don't give yourself a false sense of security just because someone on this forum has had success with a shipping company. I've noticed over the past couple of months that DHL has become a popular choice among members on this board. Why? Because there is a particular member on the board who is quite influential that promotes DHL. It so happens he also works for the company, perhaps a biased opinion that gave birth to the DHL boner. Now everyone seems to think that DHL is the perfect company that will not make the same mistakes the various other companies have in the past. Underpaid, unappreciated, and unhappy workers don't give a sh_t about your car audio equipment, regardless of what uniform they wear. It's just another day at the office for them, and it's just another brown package in front of them, and it doesn't help that it's your 50+ lbs speaker.

me too...not trying to rag on the seller but i think that half-assing packing is something totally careless when you can at least pick up scrap foam laying around...i mean hell, cutting up squares of foam off a matress softener is better than paper shreds in a weak *** box...i try to stuff packing so tight the box barely closes, and i try to use the strongest layered boxes i can get ahold of. and anyone who has recieved something from me knows i'm not scared to overtape the outside...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

ive been using dhl only because of awesome handling imo. they get it there fast and safe! also a bit cheaper then competitor's. my 2 cent's

btw....don't know about DHL but with UPS whatever you ship is supposed to be packed to withstand a 6ft drop! I think thats kinda stupid...dumbasses shouldn't be dropping anything 6ft

probably dropping off conveyor belts. and at least they warn you.

been reading my posts have you

after talking with some ppl who OEM and ship stuff via ups its actually closer to a 4 foot drop for insurance claims... but its alwasy good to over package

UPS leaves packages on my front door for anyone to just walk by and take them. USPS and FedEx always check to see if someone's home before they leave a big package, regardless of what extra insurance I may have purchased.

USPS is high as giraffe p*ssy for anything remotely heavy though...but i have shipped a LOT with them and they usually take care of it and ship fast.
