As for the rates. I pay $190/month for 2 iphones, standard cell and unlimited texting with 1400 shared minutes.

Only problem with the new iphone is I beleive you have to go to an apple store to activate. You more run into issues.

well i know on day of release they were having issues activating.. their silly apple servers couldn't keep up.. so they were doing something like giving each phone 5min to activate and if it didn't you got to take it home unactivated.

1st gen Iphone service plans started at $59.99 with 450minutes and 250 text messages.

2nd gen Iphone (the 3g phones) service plans start at $69.99 with 450 minutes and no text messages included.

The above rate is for a new plan. If you are already a att customer, you just need to pay $30 over the rate you are paying now, plus $5,$15 or $20 depending on how many text messages you want included.

bb on which service? I know they have different data plans specifically for the bbs on all networks. I'm happy with my 2000min/nights at 7/unlim data on my windows mobile phone. I like the iphone but man, that's just crazy.

I've been with AT&T for 2 years. I have to use enterprise data plans for berry and iphone for exchange support so it was on the $45/mo enterprise plan as I am on now but for the iphone.

I guess it just depends on your preference. I use exchange on my service and don't have to have a special plan. But I have to deal with windows mobile =/. Working on building a custom rom for my treo in hopes of making wm run a little better.

If I understand correctly, iTunes must be used for upgrades and updates. If your phone is unlocked you won't get either.

Don't need the enterprise plan on ATT to have your iphone work with exchange. Works fine on mine. Haven't read up on what you get for the extra $45/month. Mr. Opportunist, do you know the answer?

If you are in good standing with ATT and are eligible for an upgrade then you can get 'em for $200/$300. If you're upgrading too early then you pay a little (prorated). I pay $40 for my talk plan, $30 for unlimited data, and $8.99 for 1500 texts. Total is $78.99 Luckily my boy works for ATT and he gave me a discount (28% off because I "work" for Coca-Cola). So it comes to about $60 after tax.
