is it really all that sad or just darwinism? ha ha i mean come on you know that if you drive 100mph you have a good chance of dying. you know you shouldnt be doing it, no one is holding a gun to your head. now its sad when innocent people get killed but certainly not when the moron driving gets killed. Its just sad to see kids dying while attempting to race 110hp cars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
the population was lower back then, so it probably doesn't cause that much damage to bystanders. I wonder how they raced during the gas crisis //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifis it really all that sad or just darwinism? ha ha i mean come on you know that if you drive 100mph you have a good chance of dying. you know you shouldnt be doing it, no one is holding a gun to your head. now its sad when innocent people get killed but certainly not when the moron driving gets killed.
certainly something that wont stop. i would like to see stats from the 50's-70's because from what my dad said street racing happened all the time. he couldnt drive his cars anywhere without someone revving at him.
lol x2. They all have those led windshield washer sprayers on their hoods too. At least 90 percent of em have em at my schoolthat's that mexican rice
Really, you think so? If you lose control or hit somebody/something you're going to be in just as much trouble in say a Civic as you would be in a Viper, your still doing 120 mph. You may have a slightly better chance due to the better brakes and suspension but your still likely to hurt someone.Very true. When you try and push things too far is when trouble happens, and inexperience doesn't help at all. Pushing a 500hp mustang (or camaro or vette or something) to 120mph is far safer than a 110hp or even 200hp car. Any time you have to hold the pedal to the floor for more than 5-10 seconds you need to back out of it, speed and beating someone in a race is never worth your life, or more importantly the lives of others who have no control over the situation other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I totally agree with you in that regard. However my point was in a 500hp car it takes FAR les time and better yet distance to get to 120mph, on top of that most cars running that much power have FAR better braking and handling systems in them and are much more stable at higher speeds. Also most likely running better tires that are rated for the speeds instead of the H rated or whatever crappy 16" tires that would be found on your typical civic. Believe me I'm not condoning just saying some things are a bit more purpose built and easier to control when pushed to the limits.Really, you think so?
