1. Threads started in incorrect sections
2. Audio threads derailed regularly by off topic drama
3. Verified and Unverified multiple accounts (Need IP for verification)
4. Vote manipulation and trolling from duplicate accounts (reinforcing drama and derailing more threads)
5. Drama, drama, drama and more drama
6. Lack of Newbie post requirements or post template directions
7. FAQ or updated FAQ for some sections. IE: Brand recommendations in HU/Amp/Speaker/Sub sections maybe based on Low/Mid/High budgets, how to properly integrate with factory head units, (good better best options) and maybe see if Jeff or others would be willing to go over true SQ build basics. (Put all your money in the front stage, DSP benefits, Coax vs Comp etc)
8. Ohms law, wiring basics, how to calculate Amperage load based on wattage, batteries vs HO Alts, there are a number of recurring threads that could be covered in just a few extra stickies. Most are lurkers and TBH the search function on this site is crap. I know how to thread search this site using Google but many do not.
8. Live mods who can step in when someone is getting out of line and provide warnings and vacations where necessary.
9. Someone to manage certain threads/people when things get toxic or threads are so far derailed they just need to be locked.

I'm probably missing stuff, others please feel free to add to it. Does that list meet your requirements @Slo_Ride?
That's definitely a list. You're talking about a full time job bro.

And I told y'all @whitedragon551 was on almost everyday and I agree with him on everything he said. Hell, I basically already told y'all the same thing.

For one person sure, you split that up across multiple mods/sections (each section should have its own one or two mods, then supermods for entire site who can overrule section mods) and it should be easy, problem is lack of mods and lack of trusting people with modship.

@whitedragon551 is working on his Graduate degree, something tells me he doesn't have a whole load of time for this place. He even said he can't do it by himself and I wouldn't ask him to as it is a full-time job for one person.

I've mentioned before, plenty of other forums have multiple tiered mods and it spreads the load of work and makes it so that it doesn't require a lot from each section mod. Maybe Administrator could open Mod applications, then those who are interested could apply and Admin along with any other current mods could review the applications and choose someone based on their app and post history.

Admin should be able to set it up so the new mod receives a 30-90 day probationary period, if the person proves themselves then they become a permanent "section" mod. New section mod then needs to prove themselves for at least a year possibly longer depending on need before they're given "Super-Mod" powers.

Section mods can provide up to 7 day vacations (nothing permanent), can move OP's to appropriate sections and can lock threads only in the sections they're responsible for. Super-Mods can overrule section mods and undo section mod actions. Not sure why everyone is acting like this is rocket science, its really easy and pretty much any large forum runs this way.

IE: reddit, r1-forum, ls1tech, cumminsforum, and calguns just to name a few.

Just seems like this forum has a history with some power drunk mods in the past and that has made Admin or others a little gun shy to hand out mod privileges. While I understand this, from a "New Guy" it's also hurting the community as well. I appreciate the work @whitedragon551 and @Administrator put in, just hope they can find more good people to help out so it's not just on the two of them.

There are other reasons this place is dead and its not just because of FB or the exodus of 09. If FB really killed forums then SMD and DIY would be just as dead. I believe it has to do with a lack of moderation/FAQ/Stickies. We need some folks to help build out some permanent content for this place.

Well, you're talking twenty mods. That's definitely not gonna happen.

I'm not advocating for the use of of other car audio forums, just making a point.

Gotta start somewhere and build from there. I think at least two more are more than doable out of the crop of active users currently.

I see the Admin's been doing some work that I don't approve of, but hey it's not my site so it doesn't matter what I think.
