The type r's are a great buy and are right behind the supersubs for a very low price. I like them as well as the RE SE line. Any sub that has roughly 20mm Xmax that has good SQ and SPL and can work well off of 500 watts is the way to go. You can get two of these that will outdue a single XXX, W7, Brahma, etc with 1000watts and you do not have to buy a new alternator. If you only have space for one sub then that is different.
