will any model optima yellow top fit in the normal battery compartment of a 99 accord 4cyl?

i tried the search on optima's site, and it didn't show any results.

also, does anyone know how much they cost at an auto parts store vs. online?

Group 34 will fit. Online you can grab for ~160 and you can get that price at Costco. Autozone will be around $200.

id go for a Kinetik KHC1400 it is a much stronger battery I think they go for around $200 on ebay

I have a Kinetik 1400 as my main battery in my 01 accord (4 cylinder as well) and I love it. Hopefully you could find a local dealer. I got mine for 200 shipped, but it was well worth it cause I believe it puts out a lot more cranking amps than the same size optima.
