I have an 03 sentra spec v. it comes with a " 300-watt nine-speaker audio system (with an 8-inch subwoofer in the trunk" the speakers sound good but i want some bass, mabye another sub. what would be my approach here, buy an all new amp? and a deck as well?

you should be able to add a sub and sub amp to your stock deck, just depends on if you want a new deck too.
