YAY! To Judge Ruling Against ID Being Taught In Science Class

You guys like to assume that evolution works randomly. Keep in mind that there is order in this universe... things don't happen randomly. The fact that when you let go of that toothpick, it drops... shows that you are still grounded by the order of the universe. That analogy shows nothing.
well, where did the order come from, or did it just appear?? nobody on earth can say order just randomly comes, but if u would like to try to prove your case on it, i think it would be a good read for us. if not, i personally would like to hear what u have to say about it

I'm not for one second going to try convince anyone I have any idea where order came from. Just because I don't know something, doesn't mean that ID is true.

hahhahaahahha, u punk!! j/k, but u shoulda used this right here:

Is evolution a random process?

Evolution is not a random process. The genetic variation on which natural selection acts may occur randomly, but natural selection itself is not random at all. The survival and reproductive success of an individual is directly related to the ways its inherited traits function in the context of its local environment. Whether or not an individual survives and reproduces depends on whether it has genes that produce traits that are well adapted to its environment

Thats not exactly explaining the origin of order, but it does shed light on the nature of evolution. Thanks for further reinforcing our point. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

dear squeakies, how come you don't believe God exists?

like,

adio
Why should I? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

And I'm not looking for a subjective response to that question, such as "because god loves you" or "because god is the answer to your troubles" or "because god created us all in his image".

Give me one good objective reason to believe in god.

sure, i love to help the losing side!!

Does evolution prove there is no God?

No. Many people, from evolutionary biologists to important religious figures like Pope John Paul II, contend that the time-tested theory of evolution does not refute the presence of God. They acknowledge that evolution is the description of a process that governs the development of life on Earth. Like other scientific theories, including Copernican theory, atomic theory, and the germ theory of disease, evolution deals only with objects, events, and processes in the material world. Science has nothing to say one way or the other about the existence of God or about people's spiritual beliefs.

can't. well, i can but, trust me, on this subject of proving whether or not God exists, i'm in way over my head.

You can't give me a single objective reason. Nobody can.

You could spew out a lot of subjectivism and speculation. And I've heard it all before.....I was raised Catholic, went to a Catholic grade school and was an alterboy for the first 12 years of my life. Spent 3 days a week in church up till the time I was in 7th grade.

But I've formed my own opinion of things since that time, and have come to my own conclusions. And I choose not to believe in god.

do u believe in life after death?

too much church will do that to you. do it to anybody.

do u believe in life after death?
No.

You die. You're done. End of story.

The idea of life after death is more of a safety-net for the weak minded and weak at heart, IMHO They need to feel the security that they are still with their loved ones, that they are looking down upon us, watching over us, and that we can still "talk" to them. The are too weak to handle the reality that their loved one is gone, for good.

It wasn't "too much church". I wasn't overexposed. Just wanted to make the point that I was raised to believe in god and worship him. And even after I got out of elementary school I continued to believe....heck, I had my daughter was baptised (born when I was 16....yes, born out of wedlock, a cardinal sin, I know). But I matured, started to actually think for myself and came to the conclusion that I no longer believed.

oh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so when different religions talk about life after death, do u think they're all lies?

I'll throw my hat into the ring for a serious veiw.

You just can't argue perspectives on reality, we all make our own desicions on how things are based on our own reasoning and logic and you just can't change that.

Does a grand creator exist?.

The possibilitys are endless and far too complex to even fathom so I remain undecided. It really doesn't matter anyways, the only person putting food on the table for my family is me so piss on god and all the little angels and the demons and the space men and whoever else is watching me bang my wife in the middle of the night, I'll deal with them when I need to.

Untill then be good to your children and don't forget to tip your waitress.

As for ID in school, I say keep it the way it is untill somthing more accurate is dicovered.

Sweet! So it's cool that I window peep? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif
