Y we don't see competitions so much any more

There's a big *** thread over on the USACi forum about this topic. What's wrong and what can we do to fix it. You guys can read my rants over there. Lol.

People only cry about the rules because people cheat. Period.

I've never done any other org, but USACi is very vehicle dependant. If you dont' have a CRX, you can just forget it. And really, the biggest thing is that competition level systems aren't attractive the the average guy on the street. Thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours for a 3-5 sec burp on a system that can't even really play music. It's pretty lame when you think about it. Even the "Street Beat" guys are just playing 60-70hz music instead of tones. There was a CRX at finals in SB1 doing 59's for a 30 sec average. A pair of AQ 10's on a pair of 4500's (I think) playing a 68hz song for 30sec. Yeah, that's music, but it's still lame. 145's@ 35hz SOUNDS twice as loud to the average guy, but nobody gets points for frequency.

Somebody, somehwere needs to find a way to make it fuggin fair. Lol.

^^^ In response to that, DBdrag UK had a offshoot called Propper Droppers where they measured SPL at a certain fequency range. I've suggested it to MECA staff years ago but fell on deaf ear. (and I said ear on purpose)

I gave up on MECA and USACi. I'll go to a couple of shows just to hang out and demo, but im never going to points chase again. Not worth my time nor money since it's crooked.

there is fairness... hoenstly.... go do dgbdrag bassrace classes. usaci doesnt do it cuz its copyright infringement.

and the whole suggestion about using a single song that everyone uses isnt practical or thought through either.... FIND a song that everyone uses and the frequencies/frequencies will be picked apart... the vehicle with the best res freq to it will be used and it will just be the same thing over... basically the only rules they need to gather up is modifications to vehicles... the true 1 and only set of classes for consumers is bassrace.

it is crooked and the bald guy refuses to address the masses.

Well, the point of using the same song would be to have an average of 10 sec or 30 sec of that song, not just to burp the loudest note in it. And it shouldn't be a song with a bass line of the same frequency. I'm thinking more along the lines of when they used to use "Flashdance." It wasn't a whole song of 45hz bass notes. And the song would change every year so you didn't have 10 years to dial in the same song. It's not a "cure all," but getting back to actual music a step in the right direction.

itll just get exploited the same tho. unless that song has specifically 1.2 seconds of 60hz 1.2 seconds of 62 hz... ect then it will get exploited

TRUTH

To make things better.... Cut out the grey areas, follow the rules and............ stop bishing about everything.. Its that simply

Lol. I realize this. Like I said, it's not a cure all. Hell, run 80-20-80hz sweeps. I dunno.

And like I said over on the other forum... it's not the "bishing" that's killing it. It's what people are bishing ABOUT that is.

good example of cheating and the staff letting it go - someone showed up in amature class at meca finals with a Kinetic2400 and home made fuse blocks and he made it to day 2. come on now, seriously?

its not just the cheaters, its the staff that lets shit go. I never even let the smallest of things go when I judged.

They only ppl bishing are mainly the losers. Think of this. The SB4 guys(kimon/Fred) bishing about numerous things on Larry. And the funny thing is last year the Explorer was also venturing in the gray area. Karma? I say yes

right... and as long as there are no difinitive rules and things are crooked it will stay that way... making small rule changes like using a single CD will only turn more people away and then place a bandage on cancer.

i agree but at the same time i dont want the larry **** to happen to me.

dood. Isaca and dbdrag stateside are wayyy dead.
Iasca is still really popular in FL and we're trying to bring it back in the Carolinas. Other than that, yeah, it's dead here in the US. Finals always has plenty of competitors though. Mainly cause it's in Daytona, FL in conjunction with SBN. Prime location and time for it.

dB Drag needs a serious revamp of their street classes. Until they make them more newb friendly they'll continue to be dead. The BassRace side is boomin. It's easy to learn, anyone can do it, and it doesn't cost an arm & leg to compete.
