well it's hard to support shows like usaci...they keep upping their prices on entering classes...use to be like $20 a class and now it's up to like $45 a class...and all you get is a cheesy ass flea market trophy...hell for finals the head usaci guy said he would put $5k of his own money for prize money but did anyone see a cent..hell no..and the trophies were even smaller this year to boot....plus they let shit fly like letting pros run in consumer classes, mods foward the b-pillar..etc...

so how do you support organizations that don't take care of the competitors that have supported them for years....

btw, does iasca/db drag do prize monies at comps/finals?? or prizes or anything??

I'ver posted 6 shows in the past 2 months. I guess I must be the only one in south Florida on this site and I'm saying all of south Florida because the shows I've posted have ranged from Ft. Pierce to Homestead/Miami Racway, thats 166 miles between the two, and not one single resonse before or after the shows that have ran.Now how can you say that you're all about car audio and the scene and not do what needs to be done for "the scene" to exist. **** 6 IASCA/dB drag shows in two months there aint been 6 shows down here in 6 years.....

So the whole reason we don't see shows anymore is cause you wont get off your *** and support ..... so get to it and support or get out......

I never much liked being a SQ Judge for MECA, because what sounds good to me doesn't mean it sounds good to someone else.

Exactly, when there is anything subjective entered into the results it is not a truly equal playing field. Main reason I could really careless about SQ competition.

 

Like calling Drifting a sport.

SQ is so biased it makes me sick. People get points based on who they are and what equipment they're running more so than what it sounds like. Total bs.

Spl competitions are a hobby, NOT a sport. Too many people get that confused and take this far too seriously. I compete for fun in my spare time with spare money. If I don't have any spare money or time and ain't having fun then I'm not going to compete.

Which is why I would not bother...I like SQ and it is very subjective so it's not worth it to enter a competition for it.

I like to compete just to Demo the products in my vehicle. I could care less if i win or not. If i do win just better for my team.

I perfer it to be fun and competitive. This year I competed against the BIG dogs in SQ and got bit for my troubles ... but I found my flaws in my system.

I had fun ... Still spent alot less money than most of the SPL guys I saw working constantly on their systems this past weekend for a 30 second burst ...

I beat on my truck all weekend, with no battery charger, never turned a wrench and still drove it home... Alot of great demos, some vids on the net ( thanks Twisted )

Just alot of fun !!! I will be back next year after the SQ team to beat ... Team TCA - you guys are Awesome with BADASS rides. Thank you for the fun.

hell I remember when I actually won $75 at a MECA event at Carl Casper like 4 years ago. Haven't seen that kind of cheddar for a win in a LONG time (and its not because my score went down).
