XXX not hitting hard

Ok so all of a sudden my system doesn't sound nearly as loud. at low volumes my bass is loud but as soon as I turn the volume up on my cd player It will sound loud and then all of a sudden the bass will decrease immensly and it will stay at that level. I took my capacitor off and it fixed it for like 1 day and now its doing it again. What could it be?

Are all the wires intact? Check every bit of speaker wiring, and make sure it is connected tightly and no stray wires are touching anything else. Could be voltage drop, but it doesnt seem like it because the bass should stay up and other electrical components would lose current. Also, check your power wire with a DMM to me sure of the voltage.

When you turn it up, and then the bass fades down, if you turn it back down, will the bass return back to the normal volume?

Hopefully not. As long as you have all the proper equipment, and electrical upgrades necessary, then you shouldnt have any problems.

u got your gain set to high man, turn that shit down. it's supposed to get louder when u turn up the head unit, keep the gain down not all the way up like i imagine u have it.
