XXX actaul RMS

how much RMS can a 15" XXX actaully take. i know it says it can take 1600 watts. but i have heard of people running 2500-3000 RMS to this sub. is this possible?

Its probably possible... but the more power you put to it on a daily basis the higher chance you have of blowing the sub. But it is probably very possible (I have never tried it, i only have 1000 watts going to my XXX right now), I know that it can take at least 8000 watts for a burp at competitions...

HOLY COW. yea for burps i would say u could go from 3000-6000. 8000? wow

Finding an amp that is .3 ohm's stable to throw some major power at the XXX is a pain in the ***.....

8.75" for the 15" I believe.
