Xsite or Lightning Audio?

This was a SUB X against SUB Y. Unfortunately, no one here buys anything but top of the line brands, so when I ask about cheaper brands, noone knows. I'm going with the XSite 800w 10s instead of the Lightning Audio 200w 10s. They're cheaper and stuff.

I don't really buy top of the line. I had a 10" wal-mart LA sub, 200 watt max and it got the job done for a while.... It was sealed and made some decent base (not too much though) w/ 200 watts. When you go cheap though and you see another car with louder, better base, it kinda makes you regret not saving up for something better. My advice is to just save up for something that you really, really want and you'll be much more satisfied with the results. If you can't wait (like me), you can also find something cheap to hold things down while you save up. I'm running a Frys 12" Polk $29 special now and it's pretty good (still want better though) but I'm still saving up for a new amp and probably something from IA. Booming bass isn't my thing. I want decent SQ with nice bass, not something that's going to rattle the trunk too much. My 15"s alone were $200. I regret buying them, because they're not what I want.

On a relative note, the 10"s I'm getting will be a total of $61 for both, about $85 including a box, and they "retail" for $168 apiece. Retail in quotes, cause you know how they lie about those.

Im running 2 Xsite 8" subs ported right now. It's louder than one 10" Hx2. My box might have something to do with it, but the look on peoples faces are priceless when I show them my $2 speakers.

I would not get lightning audio. This kid at school has 2 10's and they sound horrible.

I couldn't believe I saw this thread on the top of the list. It's great to see new members using the search button and/or reading the forums.

I'm Scarenius. I posted this a LONG time ago. I ended up buying the Lightning Audio Bolt 10"s because Best Buy had them on sale for $20 apiece. They were not worth the $20 apiece and I returned them a few days later. I have never owned anything made by XSite, and sadly since this was some kind of liquidation internet sale, I probably never will, because that "lied about retail" is truer than I thought.

I ended up getting a set IA 187 12"s for a little under retail and am very happy with them.
