XS Batteries

So I'm some what new to car audio and was wondering what is the significance of these XS batteries? Why do I see them in almost every build log I look at and yet they are so expensive... Just wondering.

They are one of the best batteries you can buy, along with Batcap and Odyssey (or any of their re-badged models).

They are nice but also super overpriced ..deka or east penn batts work just fine for 1/3 the cost

fer suree. Deka manufactures relatively close to where i live ive gone there and picked up a group 31 intimadator for cheap before but they dont have much factory second shit which is beat

Yea we used to get deka 9a31 seconds by the pallets ..no so much anymore ..so i do sams duracell agm 115 for g34 and 170 for g31

I just doubt that my voltage would hold as good as it does with a 5k sub stage running a single deka 9a31 as it does with a single D3100. If I had more space, and didn't have to worry about weight, I'd have no problem running other batteries.

Well i wouldnt run a single 3100 no matter the brand on a 5k substage ..and i bet it would.be alot.closer than u think ...xs doesnt have magic.spl dust in them...i dont drop below 14.4 amd i run 4300rms substage and 800w class ab mids

yea the intimadators preform really well actually ive never went with xs or kinetix etc but 2 of the group 31 dekas and i ran two db drive pd2000s gain matched and beat on them like hell one 200 amp alt and it was rare that i saw 13s

I run a duracell 3400 55ah and 2 deka 120ah g27s with a aq3500.1 amd a ppi bk800.4 mechman 240 also..dont dip past 14.4 so no need to spend 3x as much for marketing and virgin lead lol

I have 2 sundown 2500s strapped at 1 and a 100.4. E.A. 300 amp alt Odyssey group 34 up front and a D3100 in the back. My voltage drop is around .8 at worst and holds steady from there.

My car also dropped around 3 inches in the back with the added weight. Another 70-80 lbs in batteries would not help any.

Tl:dr,

OP With XS, your paying for the name, nothing special about their batteries, at all... My Dekas hold my voltage just as well. They just don't have a cool sticker. Which I could give a **** about because my batts are hidden anyways. So in short, to answer your questions, unless you just have money to **** away, no point in buying XS. I get the same battery, for literally a little more than a 1/3 of what the XS run new

If you buy xs ur paying for there marketing department

I sell and have use tons of different batts and they are not worth the price tag if buying from a dealer. To be honest if you are paying over $225 for any group 31 you are getting ripped off, like stated the sticker on the outside means nothing, and if you are chasing tenths there are cheaper ways to catch them
