Hey, I want to know your thoughts on xover on amp vs. hu. I've got a kenwood excelon 590 hu and a JBL 600.1 for the sub amp and alpine mrp-f240 for the 4 chann. My question is this, should I set my xover at the amps or at the hu? Which is most accurate?

set them equally on both.

can't tell you which is more accurate, but i'd just set the xover on the HU and set the amp to full pass. Or you can use whichever had the slope you want, if they have different slopes.

I'm not sure about the slopes but I was thinking about just putting both amps through and setting it at the hu but I didn't know how good they were at the hu. The jbl sub amp is hard to set cuz it has no presets so I have to go by ear 100%. The alpine has a 80hz switch but I noticed today while listening to sting that some of the tones I thought should be played through the comps were playing through the sub, bass guitar, so I'm not sure how good the alpine is vs the hu.
