ok i just hooked up my new amp which is a power acoustik ps2 1800 it comes on and is not in protect but no sound, i checked all my wires and everything looks good so im guessing its maybe the setting plz help

my rcas are right and my output on the h/u is on..............like a can feel the subs move a bit and i can hear some of the music comeing through them but it like there not really on

i dont know the pre amp....but the gain i have half way up... till i do it properly ..

turn the gain up a little more and see if it gets louder, also check your subsonic filter and make sure your HPF isnt on. and if thats all go, you need to check your subs impedence, it may be to high.

on the amp there is a switch with 3 settings....HPF.....FULL.....LPF and you can choose one of them so should i chosse the LPF?

and if i turn the gain up it get a little louder but it sounds like crap and and it slike not even bass just music but i can barly hear it

Yes LPF and you will have to set the frequency, try starting at around 80hz (it realy depends on the sub/box/car though).

Make sure you dont have a HPF set on your head unit, you will either want to set the deck to pass and the amp to LPF, or the amp to pass(all) and the deck to LPF depending on what has the most customizability.

Also turn your gain back down until you figure out whats wrong.
