Wut tuning does 1 06 12" L7 start losing sq and start sounding bad. I no ive asked similar ?'s but ive gotten about million diff answers as expected. In some post ppl said dont go below 35 and in others they say dont go above 35. And i just cant make up my mind where i want my box tuned at. I want ALOT of spl but not of the cost of sounding bad. PLZ help

better question woudl be what tuning makes them sound good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

dont get me wrong they get loud but i hate the sound of them.

I shoudl help... most SPL would be had 35+ hz SQL say 20-35

everythign is differnet thoguh for each enclosure/vehicle.

I went from 2 12" SoundSplinter RL-Is sealed 1.25 cubes each, to a pair of 12" Kicker L7s with 2.5 cubes each tuned to 35 hz. Both setups had 500 watts rms going to each sub, of course the RLis sounded more accurate but the L7s are not bad for SQ at all and WAY WAY more louder, or maybe mine are just installed correctly? I wonder how many people have actually heard L7s in a properly installed system? Or do you just read another person's opinion on the internet and jump on the bandwagon?

my L7 is 2.3 cubes @ 30hz, its loud and kills the low's but its not as loud in the higher range 50-70hz.... does that help you at all? you just gotta remember not all songs have bass below 50 hz, and songs like "north north" - project pat has alot of upper bass, listen to it and you can hear it , in my system i can play north north as loud as possible and the sub will only hit a few times throughout the whole song but if i put in that "die mother****er die, close your eyes *****" - by eminem my whole car shakes like its falling apart

it happens all the time on this forum. people give their opinions based on other threads or wha they heard from someone or juss from 1 setup they heard somewhere. most of them havent had, installed, tested, or held the woofer they are talkin about. its juss the way it is.lol
