WTF y does my hx2 sound quieter than my he2

I previously had a 1995 mustang with 2 10" he2's on a RF500x2 I now have a 1990 olds 88 with a 12" punch hx2 on a US acoustics 800x. In the mustang you could feel the bass and now i only hear it. What could be causing this difference?

there are a million possibilities....

could just be the difference in vehicles

difference in cone area

quality of install

difference in power

etc..

but the hx2 is a bigger better sub that is being run with more power. The only thing that i think could be bringing it down is the box-i think there's an air leak in the terminal and around the woofer. I going to seal that with silicone, though. Could a little leak like that make the sub sound less powerful?

for sure...seal that up and let us know how it goes.

i remember using some black silicone out of a hot glue gun for the mustang, but i dont remember what exactly it was.

what kind of silicon should i get?

where could i get the silicone?

caulking (pretty much any caulking) will do...white seems to be the color that most people use. as long as it seals off the flow of air then its perfectly fine.

u could have possibly accidently reversed the polarity by accident
