WTF whine?

I orginially had engine whine, cause i ran the RCA down the middle of the car, and the Power, down the side of the car, i fixed this by running each cable on opposite sides of the car,

But now a new problem has occured, and i cannot find any way to fix it,

I do not hear any engine whine when im driving, but as soon as it gets dark, and i flick my lights on, i hear engine whine....

I have no idea why, but only when my lights are on i will hear a variable engine whine....

the other time i will hear a whine from my speakers is when im in reverse (Manual).

Which isnt that big of a problem, beacuase i normally drive forward..

Any ideas of why this is happening? i tried searching, but no similiar posts..

The amp is just powering the Two Rear 6 1/2 speakers (Btw)

Sounds like something to do with your alternator.

Sounds like you should isolate the RCA pigtail behind the head unit with some foil or something. MY guess is that this is a pioneer HU.

Its a JVC KD-G220

old thread, but i never fixed the problem,

can i just wrap the RCA's in aluminum foil?

sounds more like a ground issue, how is your battery and amp grounds? I would also not use the ground in the factory head unit harness, make a new one to the firewall.
