how do i run a remote wire to an amp off the stock radio besides going directly to the battery?

an open switched 12v source in your fuse box.

or a switched wire in the ignition harness

tap into the black/orange wire in the ignition harness or do what mike1 said or you can grab it at the red/white wire behind the radio

postive dimmer wire...will show 12v when the headlights and such are turned on

in ur fuse box, underneathe ur steering wheel...

open it..

look for like ur electronic/ cig lighter fuse...

pull the fuse out..

wrap the wire around on of the prongs on the fuse and stick it back in..

it'll work cuz its a 12v source...

or get a Littelfuse "Add A Circuit" and plug it right into an unused switched slot in your fusebox.

pull the fuse out..

wrap the wire around on of the prongs on the fuse and stick it back in..

it'll work cuz its a 12v source...
