It is not going to be your fuse. the reason u have a fuse is to terminate the connection if power is excess of the fuse rating. If you have not blown a fuse that is CLEARLY not your problem.
grounds been double tripple and quadruple checked? sometimes when we rewire sh!t gets bumped around. if your ground is not great you could be having a disrupted loop which would tell the amp (depending on what you are using) to temp protect.
