WTF is with JVC??

I sell JVC subwoofers at my shop and having listened to them in several enclosures at different power ranges I think they are great sounding subs, we have also never had any problems with build quality but heres where the problems come in.

[steps onto soapbox]

JVC does not give an RMS rating for their subwoofers, not on the website, on the magnet or even on the speck sheet in the package.

The website barely gives any info at all on the subwoofers and the provided pictures leaves much to be desired.

Why keep this stuff secret? all their doing is reducing consumer confidence and making them harder to sell, when a customer asks me what the proper amp would be to power them, I have to make an educated guesse based on the physical appearance of the motor structure, somthing like 150watts rms for the strobo's and 250 watts rms for the Warren G series.

I actually lost a couple sales simply because the customer couldn't find the RMS ratings for one of their subs, they loved how the subs sounded when demo'd but figured they were junk because only a peak rating is given.

I would like to get my hands on whoever is in charge of marketing at JVC a rip them a new ******* for being so stupid, really "Warren G woofers", "Strobo woofers" c'mon thats stupid, just give an RMS rating and leave the stupid extras out, these things would be alot more popular if they just marketed a clean looking woofer, they have the right sound and the proper build quaility they just need better marketing, it would sure make my job alot easier.

[steps off soapbox]

Thank you for your time

^ The boss ordered them, I had nothing to do with it. These things do sound good though, loud, low and clean I put 500watts rms into a Strobo ten and pounded the hell out of it and it took it like a champ.

IMO they slaughter the Kenwood subs we sell, and Im a fan of Kenwood stuff.

Heres what they look like-
