Hey guys what's the best amplifier + subwoofer combination for $500? I'm going for SPL, but don't want crappy SQ either. Preference is for 2 12" subs. Trunk space is not an issue.

Well for $500.00 for a complete setup, you wont get the best spl. I think you should go with two Kicker 12L7's, on ebay you can find them very cheap. And they are excellent spl drivers. And you could try this Viper amp, a little over your budget, but that is bound to happen.

you could go with L5s and that amp and be within your budget. my buddy has 2 of em and theyre pretty impessive for a $300(after shipping) set.
