I love all the flashy sh!t.... Only b/c it gives me something to laugh my a$$ off at. we have all seen it, dumb kids running out to wal-mart or best buy and buying the most expensive flashy woofers (Kicker, kenwood, pioneer) b/c the cone or the price and thinking they have the most bada$$ system ever put in a car... with a big ol' 600w 4ch amp. Its great they have no clue what ohm load is or what rms means and dont want to, but at every red light you hear them.

The info is out there all you have to do is want to know

There's easily as much, or more, equipment out there without lots of "flair." I personally like that style, so I use it.

Mainstream companies design them this way to appeal to a younger market. They make money doing this. Introducing a sub as a "classic" and making it look plain, when they have lots of modern-looking subs, would be a retarded business strategy.
