wtf!!changed out front speakers,now airbag light on!!

i got an 06 altima,changed out the front comp.and now the airbag light is flashing!!

anyone else had this problem?

it does have the side airbags too.

it was simple,pull the a piller off,pry off the bracket,unplug the tweeters,detach from bracket,put my tweet on,run new wires.

take off door panel,unbolt the door speaker,install new driver with mdf spacer,put door back togethor.

i was in behind the radio too,put a switch on the tr7 alpine bypass,so i can turn it off when i want.

and ran a switch to my 2 headrest monitors.

thats it,i'm baffled.never has an airbag light come on before.

can anyone help or have any suggestions?

I've seen this befor in mostly toyota's....... usually take it to the dealer and they'll reset it. or the light just turn off all of a sudden...

i'm afraid to take it to the dealer,they would say it was the aftermarket wiring or some shit like that.

or the alarm or the alpine i have in it!

yeah you'd hate for that bish to go off...I had a friend that had one pop on him after hooking up speakers...cost him about $1300,,,,,//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif smelled like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif and bruised him up pretty good

here is your fix this is the same for all nissan's I had to just do for my 08 altama with the push button start, also had to do it on my 06 Nissan Titan

yeah, airbags can fuck you the fuck up. people get broken arms and nose from airbags going off in minor accidents and shit.

or worse your bags could be disabled. remember that accidents can happen anytime anywhere.

get the bags checked. plus they should be able to just plug into your car and find out what's causing the light to go off. shouldn't be too hard for them.

try this, replace all the factory stuff, if the light continues to blink then there is something wrong. you could either put all the aftermarket stuff back in or leave the stocks while taking it to the dealer. your call.

Here's the fix.

1. Turn the key from off to on.

2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off instantly.

3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)

4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.

5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.

6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.

If it does not work the first time, just repeat the steps again.
