When I was looking to upgrade, Pierce Audio is one of the subs that I was looking at. The quad stack 18 was going to cost me about 570 shipped with a build and ship ETA of a week. Paul Pierce himself answered all my emails, usually within 30 minutes, but I ended up with a Stereo Integrity HST18MKII instead.

a week is not a bad turn around time at all. i might hit him up

Considering the 18 is $500 regularly and the 12's are $350 a little over $400 for some monsters is not bad.

The 6k is a monster but it uses the same 8layer as the upgraded 2k and with the quad stack on the 2k the main difference is a little more motor force and a lot more weight. With shipping if the 6k's fit the budget go for it. If You still want beast subs and need to save $500 get the loaded 2k series.

You know I think I just might do that I'll save the custom some money and I know he will be happy for that and plus you get almost the same sub for a lot less

That's the only bad thing about buying a high end sub is the wait to git it built.

I've bought Pierce softparts before and was really happy. As you say, they reply fast and are friendly and helpful. dbjunior had some PaP made subs that put in some serious work for a while. Definitely a company that doesn't get enough love IMO.

They r definitely not going to get the proper air space. But I have to do what makes the customer happy. I already told him it's gonna sound as good he is OK with it. The subs will be powered by taramp 10k. The budget for the subs around 1000

I told him to do a blow through with 2 zcons but don't want to cut his new truck which I fully understand.
