Wrong Voltage? wtf

i have a nice pretty blue run of knu to the back to my direct fuse block w/ volt and amps. i hooked up my cap just to see if it worked still.(u know how we addicts are. just gotta hook something up for the hell of it) and i started my car and the block said 14.2 and the cap said 15.6 anyone have any idea?

seriously easy to sell anything on Craigslist **** kicker wont sell here only way to sell it is craigslist because people here know better than to buy useless equipment unless its dirt cheap

Just like any of those voltage meters, you just need to adjust it. Right on the top is probably a hole you can insert a small phillips screwdriver and adjust the voltmeter until it reads correct. Just hook a DMM up to the + and - leads on the cap and adjust/turn the small screw on the cap until the onboard voltmeter matches your DMM. Almost all components with an onboard voltmeter need to be calibrated...

had the same ish happen to me... i had a volt meter thing right on my batt in the back and it said 14.5-8 and my cap said 15.4 i was like ... AWSOME lol but yea.. i got a cap but i took it out couldnt tell much of a difference

i figured out the hack of the **** cap pos. right underneath the pos terminal on the cap. is a little hole in the casing use a small flat head screw driver and tweak until the voltage is the same
