something very wrong. i barley turn up my gain and the overload light blinks. my subs barley bump. would a ported box sound better( a low tuned one cause i want sq) ? plz hlp me on this. my bass boost is completle off. what can it be?

Can you describe to me in detail how that amp is wired? (ergo: where does the positive power input originate? where is the amp grounded? etc...)

my power comes directly from my battery to a distribution block. my ground is in my trunk by where my spare tire is. i drilled my own hole and sanded it. . my rcas are ran under my carpet to the back. my subs are wired in parrallel. anything else?

So are you saying when you turn the gain up a little bit, the amp goes into protect?

have you checked the amps fuse?

Have you done any electrical upgrades? Big 3, bigger battery, HO alternator? I just have questions as to whether or not a 92 Sentra will have enough charging system for a 1.6kW amplifier (give or take)

iirc they only come single 4 and dual 4

no when i turn up my gain past a certain point the protect light blinks. doesnt turn off or anything it blinks. and ya im pretty sure my subs are hooked up right. +2+2 amp -2-2 amp. also will a ported box work better?

i doubt electrical system is the problem here..

Something is wrong with the setup.

More important than the gain level on the amp, what volume do you have the head unit at when you are "barely" turning up the gain?

So which are yours, Ben? And as for a ported box I don't think that the enclosure type has anything to do with what you've describeds to us. When you originally said overhead light the first thing I thought of was that the dome light was coming on when the amp got cranked, hence my questions about your wiring. Something certainly sounds amiss...
