Wrecked my car today

Well this evening about 4:15 I was driving down a narrow country road that has shitty pavement and it had just got through raining here last night and the road was still damp. I was doing the posted 45 mph on this **** road when on this really bad turn my car got loose just before you have to go across a 1 lane bridge. As I was going around the turn my rear end started to slide so I hit the eased on the brakes but didnt do any good as the car fish tailed even worse ( I was in my new 95 Camaro BTW) and I was able to save it just long enough to get nearly across the bridge but my front end caught the very last section of the concrete barrier ripping the front end off my car, crumpling the hood, deploying the air bags which broke the windshield, and sent me into a 360 eventually winding up in a ditch. It didnt do anything mechanical to the car it was still running when I stopped, didnt blow a tire or anything it even steered right when I stopped. I dont think it done any long term damage though cuz I think if it would have messed the frame up then the doors wouldnt have opened like they were still new like they did but anyway. Im fine and right now its sitting at the body shop waiting to get a repair estimate and were gonna have to pay it out of our pockets since we can barely afford insurance on it now and it would probably double if we turned it in.

Yea it could have been really bad but the thing is, its a really bad spot anyway, im the 7th one in the same freaking spot in this year alone, thats 25 days today lol. And I aint gonna lie to ya fellas, I cried like a little school girl when I got a good look at the damage it did, I was all tore up cuz I just got it tuesday.

Thanx guys, I guess the good thing about it though was the fact that when I did it, I took out part of the bridge so its ok hehe, at least I somewhat killed what I did hit, but only if it hadnt have been there I would have only winded up in the middle of the road sideway without a scratch, thats why I tried to get it across the bridge but that last swerve I couldnt get out of it in time and it hit the concrete barrier which is under about 5 feet of water right now so it wasnt really that hard of a hit. Matter of fact the wrecker dude who pulled me out of the ditch said it wasnt really all that bad. He said it looked worse than it really was so thank god.

80_Cutlass_mn u got insurance right......that should take care of the repairs....but your premium is going to go up up and away....might I suggest taking some drivers ED classes....they will help the insurance costs a bit...

oooo and glad u r ok... and as for crying like a school girl...don’t worry ...........a lot of the forum members have started doing that regularly.....

That's harsh man, and I know what you mean about the insurance, sometimes it is better to pay out of pocket...

Yea we got insurance but you see ive already had one accident about two years ago so that puts me at a really high risk on my dads insurance and if we turned it in it would really be high and were already gonna be struggling to pay off the car and insurance both. But weve got it figured out anyhow. My dad is gonna take out a loan on the house like he was going to do neway and pay off the car, pay for the repairs, and some other things. He was originally gonna take one out to get central heating and air put in and I think if we still have enough left over from this were gonna do that to, but from now on, god as my witness, I will never drive fast where roads conditions wont allow it. Ive learned my lesson and from now on I am going to obey all traffic laws in high risk situations like wet roads but now straightaways and highways when it sunny and dry, well my lead foot till continue to rule.

i know what u speak off... i got a $208 ticket for driving 93mph in a 70mph zone...... till date i do not speed......
